Every mutual fund on QuantLogIQ has a Point and Figure chart, built from its daily NAV. Let's read one.
Steps:
1. At the top, you'll find the scheme name and its latest NAV.
2. X columns are rising phases of the NAV, and O columns are falling ones. Because NAVs move slowly, a smaller box often shows the trend better.
3. Green boxes are breakouts above a previous high. They're a good sign the fund is gaining strength.
4. The tag on the right shows the latest NAV and its date.
Use it alongside the fund's returns and costs, to judge its momentum.
